I spend lots of my time on a social site like Facebook that pays me and I am enjoying free traffic fom the search engines.  (thank god the sites are pretty much push button now)

My first experience with network marketing began 25 years ago with post cards ..... But that is a loooooong story! :-)
Couple lessons learned:
*I tend to avoid the latest and greatest prelaunches of the week and Matrixes that scream GET IN NOW. They often end up like a bad trip to Vegas for me! :-)

*How to get leads? Cold calling can be brutal. Most bought leads are crap. Done CPA and CPM with Google, Yahoo, Myspace and facebook. Built lots of blogs and squidoos and linked them (for search engine traffic) Bought lots of banner space. Traffic/email/banner exchanges and article & video marketing. What works best? Lots of my friends are always trying new ideas. Sell this Ebook, join this program ...month later ...join that program ...I'm often questioning myself ..."why not maintain a website that pays you while you try all the " latest and greatest". In a years time they are in and out of several programs with nothing to show for it. If they had their own "host that pays" they could use it as a 'springboard' and be building an income that they could count on!

.....Also, most of them have a very strong desire to recruit other marketers that have the ability to "market". When they approach these marketers ....what are the first two things the marketers look at? ...Do my friends have their own website? Do they "own" their own email? ..If all they have is an affiliate link and a free email ...the serious marketers probably will not pay much attention to what they are pushing ....because they know my friends are not serious enough yet to set up their own site.
